Stevens and his architectural partner, Albert Winslow Cobb, included illustrations of the house in their Shingle Style survey, Examples of American Domestic Architecture (1889). The house has been altered, with the main entrance moved from the west facade (facing Bowdoin Street) to the center of the south facade.
