UK Official Download Chart number-one singles 2000s 2010s UK Official Download Chart The Official Charts Company Christmas number one Rihanna featured on the five different number-one singles during the 2000s, more than any other artist. The UK Official Download Chart is a weekly music chart that ranks the biggest-selling songs that are downloaded in the United Kingdom. It is compiled by The Official Charts Company on behalf on the British music industry,[1] and is based solely on non-subscription downloads of songs from official music retailers. The chart was founded in 2004 and was first published on 1 September that year. During the 2000s, 110 different singles reached number-one. The most successful artist on the download chart during the 2000s was Rihanna, who featured on five different number one singles. The most-downloaded single of the 2000s was "Poker Face" by Lady Gaga. Released in 2009, the single was downloaded 779,000 times by the end of the year to make it the UK's biggest-selling download hit of the decade. "Just Dance", also by Gaga, and "Sex on Fire" by Kings of Leon were also high-selling downloads during the decade.[2] In September 2009, "Break Your Heart" by Taio Cruz became the 100th single to top the UK Official Download Chart.
